We’re thrilled to be partnering with our friends at Cine Las Americas International Film Festival (CLAIFF) this weekend for two exciting events during their 21st festival!

First, we’re co-presenting a FREE, open to the public screening of Ciara Lacy’s OUT OF STATE. Shipped thousands of miles away from the tropical islands of Hawaii to a private prison in the Arizona desert, two native Hawaiians discover their indigenous traditions from a fellow inmate serving a life sentence. It’s from this unlikely setting that David and Hale finish their terms and return to Hawaii, hoping for a fresh start.

The screening takes place at 8pm this Friday, May 4th at the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center. More details here.

After the OUT OF STATE screening, join AAAFF at Uncle Billy’s Brewery, where we’ll be tabling at CLAIFF’s FREE Cine Sin Fronteras event! This is a great chance to chat with local arts organizations about their missions and learn how you can get involved.

It’s sure to be a fun weekend at CLAIFF 21–you won’t want to miss out!
